This knit and felt pattern can be used for a Kippah, a Fascinator (the wonderful hats that can be traced to the Renaissance Era, the 1930s, the 1960s and that are still used by British Royal today) or any type of headcovering since there are 4 sizes.

This knit and felt pattern is perfect for needle felting, embroidering, or embellishing with other items to make your headwear extra special. Be creative with buttons, flowers, beads, feathers and bows.

You get 6 patterns! There are four sizes and two choices of thickness for the medium and large sizes. The extra small size measures approximately 5 inches in diameter and is a perfect size for men. The small size measures approximately 7 inches in diameter and is the perfect size for a woman. The medium measures approximately 8 inches and the large approximately 9.5 inches. The medium and large are perfect sizes for more elaborate designs or to use as a hat reminiscent of the 1930’s. All have a slight rise to the edge so they will fit nicely. All allow for ample felting of the stitches without a compromise to the size. You can choose to use a clip or wig comb sewed into the headwear to fasten it to your hair.

The thinner headwear (approximately 1/8 inch thick) is knit with a single strand on U.S. Size 10.5 needles and the thicker headwear (approximately 1/4 inch thick) is knit with double strand on U.S. Size 11 needles.

Comprehensive information is provided. There is guidance for felting your headwear, needle felting and embroidery as well as suggestions for other embellishments. And there is information on how to protect your embroidery and needle felting designs. So, yes, this is a very comprehensive pattern purchase. There are approximately 11 pages of instructions.
