This crochet cowl pattern is a good beginner project that will make fun use of fair isle or variegated yarns. When done with a solid yarn, it’s a very unisex & muted pattern. Two sections are included - a main pattern and a lacy puff-stitch pattern. Directions are given for interspacing them as desired, to make a unique piece. When worked longer, the cowl can be wrapped around the neck twice.

The sample used worsted weight yarn and an H (5mm) hook. The yarn used was Red Heart Super Saver Fair Isle, and used less than one skein (about 180 yards). This simple infinity or mobius scarf is worked in the round with minimal counting - get the stitch pattern set up, and it’s easy to work through as many repeats as you’d like.

Using a solid colour, varigated yarn, or using ombre shades will produce a unique item each time this project is worked!
