The crisp, clean “kirei” cables of this double-sided little pouch knit quickly …. without a cable needle! After working the provided cable chart upward from a Judy’s Magic Cast On, a bound off I-cord completes the top edge of this seamless piece.

NEW! The pattern now includes direct links to short video demonstrations of how to complete all the cables included in the pattern …. WITHOUT the use of a cable needle!

Instructions are given to create a soft “click” closure by enclosing 2 metal strips inside the knitted facing. The strips automatically press together and softly close the pouch!

In addition to the worsted yarn (about 50 yds), you’ll need a small amount of fingering weight yarn (about 10 yds) to create the needed facing.

Notions, Hardware: 1 stitch marker, darning needle, 10” of metal measuring tape, duct tape.

This is a really interesting piece to knit, with a little bit of “action” in every round. Without fussing with a cable needle….the project moves along quickly and is so much fun!
