This pattern is for a combination short row and eye of partridge heel. It adds comfort, durability, and a beautiful texture to the heel of your socks.

The pattern has been written for magic loop or 9” circulars. I’m sure someone using DPN’s could make the pattern work but they would have to keep track of the number of stitches on each needle or transfer them all to one needle to make it easier.

The pattern includes three sizes, the three standard sock sizes found in most patterns, a 56 stitch, 64 stitch, and 72 stitch sock. Adaptations could be made to make the heel work for other stitch counts but they are not included in the pattern.

This pattern can be used for cuff down or toe up socks. It is worked the same way regardless of the technique chosen. It can also be done using the two at a time (TAAT) method.

Pattern includes row by row stitch counts and important notes to help you through the pattern. There are also photos throughout of some of the trickier stitches.

I have also included my preferred vanilla sock pattern.
