The Kissa socks feature an interesting textural pattern. The cuff and heel are worked in a contrasting colour — a great way to use leftovers!

Kissa means drinking tea/coffee, café in Japanese. So Kissa socks are inspired by Japanese retro café and Jun-Kissa. I also like the coincidence that Kissa means cat in Finnish.

CONSTRUCTION

日本のレトロな喫茶店や純喫茶(猫がいる喫茶店も好き！)をイメージした、ケーブル模様の靴下。Kissaは日本語で「喫茶」、フィンランド語では「猫」の意味があります。そんなかわいい偶然も気に入っています。履き口とかかとにはお気に入りの余り糸を使っても！

靴下はつま先から編み始め、引き返し編みのかかと(ショートロー・ヒール)を編みます。足の甲からレッグにかけてケーブル模様を編みます。編み方は輪針のマジックループ式に合わせて説明されています。模様編みはチャート(編み図)で掲載されています。動画解説リンク付き。
