This is the first dishcloth my mom taught us girls to knit up. There are seven of us and boy did we make a lot of these growing up. This dishcloth is knit from corner to corner, first increasing to the center, then decreasing.
Yarn substitutions: Standard brands of kitchen cotton work well with this pattern.

Your finished dishcloth will depend on your choice of yarn, needle size, tension and the number of stitches you increase to. Have fun and make lots of different sizes and colors.
