A crocheted, loose fitting kitten bonnet designed in a similar fashion to the knitted infant kitten bonnets from the 1940’s and earlier.
The ears are worked as part of the main body of the hat. They are not sewn on.
(Sorry, Adult size is a bit big on my mannequin head.)

The pattern calls for Ice Yarns Angora Color Glitz, but includes instructions for using other types of yarns and thicknesses (non- fuzzy and fuzzy sport and worsted).

Yarn/Hook Needed:
Ice Yarns Angora Color Glitz

  • Baby/Toddler: 100g / 550m / 600y, 3.50 mm/US E4
  • Child (working double strand): 125g / 645m / 750y, 3.50 mm/US E4
  • Teen/Adult (working double strand): 150g / 825m / 900y, 4.00 mm/US G6

NOTE: Unfortunately, I have not had time to test this pattern due to rushing like a crazy person in order to be ready for Christmas. I have tested Teen/Adult, but measurements and amounts for Baby/Toddler and Child are estimated.

As a result, I am offering a bonus for your help:
The first 5 people who are able to complete a bonnet (using yarns and hooks mentioned in pattern) with a linked project page (including pictures, and yarn/hook used); as well as send me feedback via PM regarding sizing, yarn type and amounts, and errors, will recieve 2 coupons for free patterns from my shop.
Please message me if you do. Otherwise, I may not notice.
Please do not post detailed images or sections of the pattern to your project page or elsewhere.

Please read the notes section of the pattern before beginning so you do not have any issues further into the pattern.
