A unique hood style earflap hat that is made to look like hair and a cat ear fascinator.

Coming Soon: another hat in a similar style, but with a straight cut across the bangs instead of a peaked cut.

Currently this hood is in one size only. I will be adding other sizes in the future. For now, if you would like to make this in a child’s size, simply go down a yarn weight and a hook size.

This hood is worked in waistcoat stitch in the round, and in front and back post stitches in rows. It is possible to use regular single crochet instead of the waistcoat stitch, but it will alter the look of the hat in the end.
The waistcoat stitch provides an appearance similar to the stocking stitch in knitting.
