A really simple design, quick and easy to make (takes me, an advanced crocheter, about 3 hours per hat). After the top portion with the ears is completed, the rest of the hat is worked in one piece (no ending off or joining until the very end). The sizing is easily adjusted just by using different hooks. I use a G hook for child size (toddler-5 years), H hook for juniors/teens, I hook for adults, and J hook for larger heads. Each hook size seems to adjust the finished hat by about an inch circumference. Red Heart and Simply Soft are only suggestions - any worsted weight yarns will do. About 100 yards are used for the main color, about 60 yards for the second color, and about 10 for the fancy yarn around the border (estimates). The pattern has alot of pictures included to help with following the instructions. I do allow people to sell the items they make with my patterns, as long as they give me credit for the design with a link to my site hookcandy.com with each item listed/sold.
