Kitty Whiskers Fingerless Mitts - A fun and functional pair of fingerless mitts. They are made using the Addi Express Professional 22-pin, with a small amount of hand knitting for the trims, plus an optional thumb. Pair up with exciting yarn colours that will show through the braided ‘kitty whiskers’, while offering an extra layer of warmth. Perfect for those chilly days, leaving your fingers free to knit more mitts!

Materials
2 x 50g DK or Light Worsted weight yarn (1 of each colour).
Suggested Yarns: SW Merino DK by Unbelieva-wool (100% Merino), 246yds (225m) per 100g – or – Swish DK by Knit Picks (100% Merino), 135yds (112m) per 50g.

Sizing
One size – designed to fit a palm circumference of up to 7.75” (19.5cm). To make these mitts longer or shorter, simply add more rows or work fewer rows.

Tools
Addi Express Professional (22 pin); 6mm (US 10) Circular Needles of 60cm (24”) or longer or DPNs; 1 spare circular needle of same size; 5mm (US 8) Circular Needles of 60cm (24”) or longer; 6mm (US10/J) crochet hook, measuring tape, 3 locking stitch markers, scrap yarn and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge
Gauge using DK Weight yarn on the Addi is: 15 sts by 22 rows over 4” (10cm) square (unblocked). Finished width: 3” (7.5cm). It is always better to swatch first using your machine and the yarn of your choice.

Techniques
All hand knitted stitches are worked in the round using Stockinette stitch (K all rounds) and 1x1 ribbing (K1, P1). Knowledge of the following techniques are helpful: hand knitting in the round, picking up & knitting (PUK) and Addi Express knitting.
