These cozy cuff-down, worsted weight socks were inspired by a gorgeous hike up the Klahhane Switchbacks in Olympic National Park.

You get to try a variety of techniques, including simple lace, bobbles and twisted stitches -- you won’t get bored. You can knit the multicolored version as shown (great for using stash leftovers) or solid socks.

The pattern is charted.

Please note these are also available through the KnitPicks IDP, knit at a different gauge. The Ravelry pattern includes instructions for both the original (heavy worsted) and the light worsted gauges. The heel flap is a bit different on the light worsted version as well.

8/25/14: New version includes line by line instructions. These are line by line instructions for each chart. Work each complete round as directed in the written portion of the pattern, pages 2-3. Also includes missing abbreviations.
