The knitted gits are approximately 8 inches tall inches tall so the perfect size for keeping in your handbag, using as a cat toy, pin cushion or a door wedge.

All the gits are made from the same, easy to follow pattern. The pattern comes with step by step , illustrated instructions explaining how to make the doll look more like your own ‘git ‘.
There are a couple of different ways to add the hair and other features and these are covered in the instructions.

To knit the pattern you need to be able to Knit, Purl and increase stitches.

The pattern requires 4mm (US size 6) needles and small amounts (less than 5g) of each of the five different colours required (flesh coloured wool and different colours for shoes, trousers, top and hair), and a small amount of stuffing. Felt tips (optional)
