Visiting a yarn shop one day, I picked up a knit fingerless mitt. The stretch to the material was amazing. It was a gorgeous, fine fabric and it completely conformed to the shape of my hand.

Years later, I still think about these mitts and I’ve recently discovered how a crocheted fabric created all by slip-stitches can create this same flexible fabric and look like knit all at the same time. That is how this pattern came to be.
