Gauge not important for this project. Loose fitting, One Size Fits All…. but easily adjustable - simply add (or subtract) rows to get the size you want.
Made in two pieces, then sewn up the back. Optional hood is added later. I was able to make this Shawler on straight needles, but you may prefer to use a circular needle.
For Shawler pictured, I used some yarn I bought from Mary Maxim catalog called Lighthouse Ocean Sunset Ombre in the color #0006 Orange. I used 10 skeins, which was about 750 yards.
Other suggested yarns include Lion Brand Homespun, Moda Dea Tweedle Dee, or any bulky weight yarn.
