Materials:
Merino wool or Merino wool mixtures
Choose a yarn suitable for needles of size 2.5 – 3.5 mm. such as a quality sock yarn.
I recommend a soft, flexible yarn, closely spun, for warmth and comfort for the waist.
I used material : 50% Merino/50% Acrylic
You can also make very airy summer skirt when you will use 100% soft cotton yarn.

*If you can find a 100% or soft wool, or a wool blend, for waist part, and an exactly matching yarn in acrylic for the skirt part, it may save you a little in cost.

**** If you would like a “fun fur” hem on your skirt/cape, you could knit in a strand of white “eyelash” or “fur” yarn with your white yarn.
If you are going to do this, I would recommend using a light weight yarn in white, so the hem will not be too bulky.
