This is my first pattern that I have made, as all the other yellow minions were completly crocheted, and I prefer to knit.

I knit this top down (so gauge doesn’t matter too much) on 5mm double pointed needles, switching to 16” 5mm circular on the youth and adult sizes only. Earflaps can easily be added to the youth and adult sizes as well. Included basic modifications for evil purple minions as well.
The eyes are crocheted, using a 4.5mm hook.

Approximate circumferences:
Baby: 17”
Youth: 20”
Adult: 22”

I like the Uptown Worsted by Universal Yarn, as it doesn’t pill and has very vibrant colours. I used Bright Yellow, Black, Royal Blue, Peanut Butter (brown), White Glow and Silver grey. I found one ball of the yellow easily made 2 adult hats, or 3 kids hats (that colour is the majority used).
