This pattern is available from kniterator.com for $5.00.

This is an example of a pattern you can generate yourself on www.kniterator.com, a new raglan pattern generator that takes your measurements and gauge and generates a preview image and a full pattern with detailed instructions. You can choose between crew neck or v-neck, cardigan or pullover, and you can opt to either knit the body straight or add shaping through the waist and hips.

Lots of customisations are available, such as crew neck width, v-neck depth, sleeve length, etc.

By choosing a longer body length, you can also use it for making dress patterns.

We have many more features planned - stitch progress counter, yarn requirements calculations, cropped styles, customisation of upper arm sizes, cables, lace, and colourwork, and other non-raglan versions such as yoked sweaters, seamless set-in sleeves, and saddle shoulders.

The Kniterator is based on the “percentage system” as popularised by Elizabeth Zimmerman. Its core is the same as most other top-down raglan generators, but it also provides alternative necklines and takes row gauge into account to generate detailed instructions for body and sleeve shaping. It’s a great tool for those who want to knit a custom-fit sweater but feel intimidated by maths or nervous about improvising.

The black/blue/grey sample was created with the v-neck option and with waist-hip shaping. With these options the pattern would cost $5.50 USD. A crew-neck sweater without waist-hip shaping has a base price of $3.50 USD.
