This free pattern for a triangular scarf, or shawlette, was inspired by the beautiful rainbow yarn from Knits and Knots Tahoe.

It is a great intro pattern for those who haven’t tried shawl knitting yet, and a fun, quick knit for advanced knitters. It uses two skeins of fingering-weight yarn - 100g of one that is hand-painted, and 50g of a complimentary solid, and the original shawlette was made from two sparkle yarns. It’s a great way to use a really loud variegated yarn in a way that makes it read less so.
