Yarn: The pattern calls for “Baby Yarn.” No yardage is given.

This pattern has three variations: Basic Bootie, 2 Colors, and Saddle Shoe.

The Basic and 2-Color variations are identical except for the color change. They have ribbed cuffs, ridged instep and sides, and shaped sole that is joined with Kitchener stitch.

The Saddle-Shoe variation has a ribbed cuff and instep, ridged sides and a shaped sole that is joined with Kitchener stitch. The “saddle” flaps are picked up on each side and stitched together in the middle.

All three variations have eyelets around the cuff to hold the ties.

The pattern includes modifications for knitting flat instead of in the round, and for modifying the size to fit baby dolls.
