This is a pattern for a knitted heart that can be made in any colour you fancy. The suggested yarn is a DK weight but you could use a chunkier yarn and bigger needles to make a larger heart. You will need more yarn and stuffing for a bigger heart.

Tension is not critical in this project but if you are a loose knitter, you might want to try smaller needles so there aren’t any gaps appearing in the heart shape when stuffed.

In addition to the yarn you’ll need knitting needles, a small amount of stuffing or waste yarn and a ribbon for hanging.

This is a great stash buster pattern so you could use any yarn in your stash (along with the recommended needles for that yarn).

Why not make several knitted hearts and string them together to make a garland to decorate a window sill or mantle piece?
