I created this non felted, leaf pattern, when I descided to knit a hand muff, like the one of Tiny Owl from ravelry, but her flowers and leaves are crocket work and I prefer knitting…

For me this leaves will be part of a Tiny Owl style handmuff and it will be “something new, something blue, something old, something borrowed” all in one for my friends wedding.

• because of the split up row before the rounds I recommend using 2 threads and a not to heavy yarn.

• of course you can go on with the increases for a while longer, this will make a bigger leaf. just add as many simple decrease rounds (like 9 or 11) as increase-ones…

• the more complex decrease rounds (13+14 /16+17) help to form a soft arched leaf. you can stabilize the arch by weaving in the yarn end.
