The sling was used for a long time as a weapon. It still is in some countries, but it can also be used for fun, with softer ammo like tennis balls or rolled socks.

La fronde a longtemps été une arme. Ca l’est encore, mais on peut aussi l’utiliser pour s’amuser, avec des projectiles moins dangereux, des balles de tennis ou des chaussettes roulées en boule par exemple.
