Materials needed: two pieces of split cane, one twenty-four, the other, twelve-inches long, to be made into a ring and covered in red braid. The sponge net itself is made of fawn-coloured fine macramé twine; about three-quarter’s of a ball of this will be required, and four steel knitting needles, No. 12.
