These were knit for the Sock Knitters Anonymous June 2008 DYO Sockdown! Challenge and were so much fun to design. The traveling stitches are knit without a cable needle (although you could still use one if you wanted), and the length of the foot is altered by the number of repeats of the lattice stitch pattern. The pattern is written for the magic loop method, but double pointed needles can be used. Although the pattern is written toe-up, it can easily be modified for top-down construction.
