I had many requests for a pattern of a 16” version of my Hobby the House Elf so here he is: Hobby’s Bigger Brother, Knobby! Crochet your own house elf for yourself or a gift that is sure to please! Knobby the House Elf is a pattern for a crocheted plush doll. Knobby is 16” tall with removable shirt when completed.

A house elf is a magical creature which is immensely devoted and loyal to the one designated as their master. They serve wizards and witches faithfully and are usually found serving old and powerful wizarding families. They are completely subject to their masters command unless they are freed. A house elf may only be freed when their master presents them with clothes.

More than just a mere housekeeper, all house elves have their own brand of powerful magic, which allows them to be a excellent protector of their masters. They will attack threats and defend against enemies with great fury and strength and without a moment’s hesitation.
