This very unusual knitting stitch actually forms a knot when knitted allowing you to use a larger bead without fear that it will distort the fabric during wear. Further, the stitch expands so greatly (width-wise), that only 13 stitches will easily block to 6 inches, or can be left un-blocked and will still “fall” at about 4 inches in width. There are instructions contained within this pattern for how to knit this stitch with beads, and a chart to help you with bead placement. If you have never knitted with beads, but wanted to try a fairly quick and easy pattern where the beads really make a statement, this may be the pattern that you’re looking for. The beads are all pre-strung so that the knitting goes much more quickly.

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting and purling, and yarn overs.)
