The basic pattern ist a mix of dc rows and broomstick lace rows

Instead of a broomstick needle I used a simple ruler - width 3 cm(1.2”) and hooked the loops on it.

Tip:
Instead of the last broomstick loop in the broomstick rows I worked 4 chain stitches to reach the next row.

The vest is worked straight up from the bottom. The only shaping is a decrease at the waist, the slant at the front and a little decrease at the neck. So you can adjust the size simply by adding or leaving rows or pattern repetitions.

Sorry - I didn’t watch how much yarn I used, it came from a very big skein.
