This is a beaded sock that I designed for Mountain Knits and Pearls as a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness month in October of 2007. I will continue to donate $1.00 to Breast Cancer Awareness in my community for each pattern sold. The beads are prestrung and knit in place according to a chart.

In Maori culture, koru is the word used to describe the spiral shape of the Silver Fern newly emerging in the spring: unfurling and reaching for light. Symbolically, koru represents harmony, contentment, peace and new beginnings.
