The Krog Street Tunnel in Atlanta has train tracks, angular supports and an ever changing facade that is always a visual treat.

The hat band is worked sideways in an easy and striking slipped stitch pattern. The slipped stitch band is then grafted together, the ribbing and top are picked up and knit. The stretchy ribbed band is easily adjusted to accomodate any head.

Gauge 7 stitches = 1 inch in st.st.
The hat band is 6 inches wide and one pattern repeat is
about 2 3/4 inches long before blocking.
This is a great project for half skeins as at least half remained from each color.
