This 104 stitch ethnographic mitten is from the Southern Kurzeme region of Latvia, and is in the collection at the Liepaja Museum in Liepaja, Latvia. The cuff begins with a series of three half braids. The upper mitten is knit in two colors throughout. The design of the upper mitten is a variation on Mara’s Cross which is also known as the Cross of Crosses.
