This traditional Latvian mitten pattern uses three colors of light fingering weight yarn to create a geometric pattern. It has a narrow folded hem at the wrist and may be lined for additional warmth. To change sizes you would change yarn and/or needle sizes, not number of repeats. Single ply wool yarns with a firm twist are traditionally used.

12-23-2019 I have found six miscolored squares on the third repeat of the diagonal pattern on the sides of the mitten. If one checks the second repeat against the third the mistakes will stand out by being out of alignment.
