This pattern is named for Stephanie Kwolek, brilliant scientist for DuPont who invented Kevlar. This genius woman thought to spin a thin and slippery liquid into fibers, and as a result discovered one of the strongest materials known.

The gauntlets themselves aren’t intended to be made of Kevlar, though they do incorporate a novel approach to constructing fingerless gloves.

Finished size: To fit palm circumference of approximately 7” (8”, 9”) around. ‘Small’ size is roughly a women’s medium; ‘Medium’ size is a women’s large/men’s small; ‘Large’ size is a men’s medium.
