The leg is knit flat then grafted together.
Stitches are picked up for heel and foot then knit in the round.
The cuff stitches are picked up then knit in the round as well.
The scratches ,added words , and 4 can be duplicate stitched or knitted in. Depends on what you prefer to do. However I do suggest duplicate stitching in the favorite sayings instead of knitting them along.
Be sure to measure your own leg as instructed in the pattern.
