Errata as follows:

  • hat cast-on is 48 not 52
  • m1 abbreviation added to list
  • Removed “twice” from the cowl instructions (Sl2 purlwise wyif, (remove “twice”)) -Changed the word “pattern” to the word “sequence” in the instructions to help with continuity for both hat and cowl.

A hat and scarf from one skein. Envelope yourself in an avalanche of snowy soft merino wool.

La Avalancha is a matching hat and cowl designed to use every bit of a single skein of Yana Journeys from Amano Yarns. The revolving texture is creating by offsetting a repeating slip stitch pattern. Easy to memorize, simple to knit and a delight to wear!
