La Luce (“The Light” in Italian) is a triangle-shaped shawlette in vibrant fingering weight yarn. I used LunaPurlYarns self-striping sock yarn in the Butterfly Nebula colorway. Electric eye-popping colors with a bit of grey tossed in for calm. Love them. Looking at the skein makes me so happy. This shawlette features three options for the edging. In order of difficulty: a traditional bind-off, an attached I-cord edging using a contrasting color, or a beaded edging in a contrasting color with a picot bind-off. As my friend, Ellen says, “It’s all about the options”. By the way, the name “Ellen” means “bright, shining light”. And she sure is.
