La Tua Scelta, meaning “Your choice”, is actually four different shawl patterns in one - Choose from a baktus shape, a narrow crescent, a boomerang, or a curly boomerang shape - choose the one you like the best, or make all four!

The yarn weight is also up to you, and the pattern includes suggested yarn/hook combinations and sample gauges for fingering weight through worsted weight. Gauge is not terribly important, but you want a decent amount of drape.

Each shape begins with a narrow point, and increases in width as you work. You can choose to increase throughout for an asymmetrical boomerang or curly boomerang shawl, or choose a narrow baktus shaped shawl, or a narrow crescent shaped shawl using decreases in the second half - take your pick.

Finally, choose to block or not! Blocking your piece will open it up for a lacy look, while leaving it unblocked will preserve the dimensional texture of the stitch.

All shapes use a simple textured stitch pattern that’s easy to memorize, and forms a lovely striped look. All shapes include both written instructions and charts, and a photo tutorial is included for the stitch pattern. No matter which options you choose, you’ll have a lovely new accessory in no time!
