This is a simple lace column stitch from a vintage afghan pattern. Both sides of this pattern look good. There is no right and wrong side, just a front and back.

Materials:
Fingering weight yarn 180 to 240 yards US 4 Knitting needles or

Sport weight yarn 200 to 300 yards US 6 Knitting needles or

Worsted weight yarn 250 to 350 yards US 9 Knitting needles

Gauge: Not too important! Use the yarn and needle combo that not only works with how loose or tight you knit but also results in good looking work. Yardage of yarn depends on how long you decide to make your scarf.
