From book:

This classic baby blanket can be used in the pram, the cot or the car. Whether you knit it in white or in soft washed pastel shades, it is a timeless classic that will probably be handed down from baby to baby. Although it takes a little time to knit, the blanket is easy because it is knitted in sections made from stockinette stitch and reverse stockinette stitch, while the lace edging is knitted in four strips that are then joined together to edge the blanket. This particular blanket was knitted in cool, natural cotton, but a warmer blanket could be worked in soft, luxurious merino wool.
