Lace 'Em Up Toddler Gladiator Sandals
There are so many patterns out there for this type of sandal. They’re all great patterns however I have one issue: They’re all for newborns or babies! So when asked to create a sandal for a toddler, I was at a loss. So I did was most crocheters do: I freehand the darn thing!! After just one attempt, I nailed it, and came up with this pattern! :)
Sizing info: If the pattern is worked as written below, with worsted weight yarn and a size I/5.50mm hook, it should fit around a child’s size 5 shoe. The booties pictured above were made with a size L/8.00mm hook and fit a child’s size 12.
Materials:
Worsted Weight Yarn
-I used Red Heart Super Saver in Cherry Red and Vanna’s Choice in Aqua
-Nic’s were done in DK weight yarn called Knitting Essentials in colors black sparkle and pink sparkle, and the orange pair was done in Bonus DK in Sunflower, and Bonus DK Extra in Bright Orange.
-Becky’s were done in Red Heart Soft Baby Steps in Mint and Lavender
Size I/5.50mm hook
Tapestry Needle
Scissors
Stitch markers (optional but I highly recommend them)
Puffy Paint (optional)
