I love the interruption of this lace pattern with a little seed stitch. I don’t know why it speaks to me, but it does. I also like the subtle color change for the border.

The Hole In The Wool colors are beautiful. There are so many combinations you can choose from. The feel of this yarn so very soft. It is 80% Superwash Merino, 10% Nylon, and 10% Cashmere. Just lovely.

This shawl is worked starting with just 8 stitches and increases just one stitch every two rows. The fun part is that the beginning goes really fast and so you get to know your stitch pattern.

Just when you think you are ready to finish, the stitch pattern changes to a nice lacey border; and, then you are done!

I used two colors: Whitefield for the body of the shawl (approximately 400 yds) and Paley Lane for the border (approximately 200 yds).
