this pattern comes in several sizes: newborn / 0-3m / 3-6m / 6-12m / 12-24m

Gauge: 15 sts for the bonnet (I used two strands of DK yarn)
Gauge: 21 sts for the ears (I used one strand of the same DK yarn)

Recommended yarn: any to obtain the gauge. DK for regular look, or thinner yarn on larger needles for daintier look.

Recommended needle size: to obtain the gauge. Your needle size might vary depending on how tight or loose your knitting is. Please be sure to make a gauge swatch to make sure you obtain the gauge. You will need TWO needle sizes – one for the main part of the bonnet (knit with two strands of DK yarn) and one for ears (knit with one strand of DK yarn). for most, 6mm / US 10 works for the bonnet and 4mm / US6 works for the ears.

You will need: yarn (up to 70 grams for the largest size in main color and up to 10 grams in contrasting color for the ears), knitting needles, darning needle to weave in the yarn ends and to sew the back of the bonnet and to sew the ears, crochet hook in the same mm size as the knitting needles (if you are making crochet ties).
The bonnet and the ears are knit flat.
