The pattern that I adapted for the yoke of this project captured my attention from the first moment I saw it. It is originally a baby smock but, worked up in a larger gauge and with a little edging, it makes for a lovely adult cardigan. The openwork of the lace yoke adds to its vintage charm.
Because of the gauge of the project, this cardigan is a quick(ish) knit for most knitters. The lace section works up quickly and is satisfyingly pretty.
I hope you enjoy this pattern. Remember to never discount vintage patterns because there are lots of gems among those old forgotten pattern book pages.
