Tension: 10cm x 10cm square = 28 sts x 36 rows in stocking stitch, size 4mm needles or appropriate size to achieve the correct tension, yarn needle for sewing up, Beaker Button Bountiful 4ply 100g, 400m approx.

This pattern can be used with most yarns. If you’re using something different from the suggested yarn then I’d use the recommended needle for your yarn and go for it.

Some of these stitches are adapted from The Very Easy Guide to Lace Knitting by Lynne Watterson, some are adapted from traditional patterns, a couple are designed by me.

There are charts for the lace repeats (found at the end of the pattern) and each repeat is worked within a moss stitch border. In between each panel there is a strip of moss stitch. This is referred to as the moss stitch break.
