This is an easy, seamless pattern with a number of variations. While the finished garment measures about 6 inches from the knuckled to the mid-forearm, it can easily be shorter or much longer. Eyelets are created in the design and a length of ribbon, leather, or a knitted I-cord lace through the eyelets to help the gauntlets fit snugly. While I have used a variety of fibers to make these, from cotton, to bamboo, to soysilk, I have found the soysilk and bamboo tape produce the most pleasing effect with the pattern.
