Laced Up

Knitting
August 2013
DK / 8 ply (11 wpi) ?
26.5 stitches and 38 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch in the round
US 2½ - 3.0 mm
462 yards (422 m)
Ankle circumference: 3.25 (6, 8.5, 9.5, 10.25, 10.75, 11.5)" / 8.5 (15, 21.5, 24, 26, 27.5, 29)cm

When you know you “should” be hiking to stay or get fit, to be part of nature, or to share some outside fun with a close friend—but you feel it’s too damp and cold, or there’s no one who has time to hike with you—pull on a pair of these laced up socks. You can fool yourself into thinking you’re in hiking boots and enjoy their toasty warmth at the same time. This is an i-cord application to a sock that a knitter may never have seen before. Worked in a different color scheme these would look like boxing or luchador boots!
