SIZING
Sweater is shown in Size 2 with no ease at the chest featuring the A-line shaping option so that there is plenty of room at the waist and hips. For a similar fit, choose the size that is closest to, even if smaller, than your actual chest measurement. Choose a size that is 2-5”/5-12.5 cm larger than your actual chest for a more blousy fit (as shown in Ruffle Fluff) if you plan to skip the a-line shaping.

INCLUDED OPTIONS

  • Crocheted Neckline (with video tutorial designed for knitters not familiar with crochet techniques) or i-cord Neckline
  • Straight or A-line body
  • Long or Short Sleeves
  • Cropped or Longer Length
  • Yarn totals for colorblock or solid sweater
  • Yardage Chart showing yarn needed per inch/2.5 cm, per size and per sweater section
  • Easy, fill-in-the-blank worksheets for: Body & Sleeve Colorblock adjustments when overall length is adjusted, the adjustment round prior to the hem should you work fewer or more a-line shaping rounds, and Sleeve Length Adjustment to maintain the patterned Sleeve Shaping
  • For even more options, grab Pink Fluff as a set so that you can utilize any of the options in Ruffle Fluff as part of your Lacey Fluff, too!

EXPERIENCE
This is an easy knit perfectly suitable for adventurous beginning knitters. A provisional cast-on is utilized, but instructions are provided to replace it with a standard cast-on if you are not yet comfortable with this technique. To knit this sweater, all you need to know is basic increasing and decreasing, picking up stitches, yarnover, standard cast-on and bind-off. Click here for my tutorial on separating sleeves from body & the cable cast-on.

YARN NOTE
This sweater is worked with yarn held double throughout; all yardage provided is based on this assumption. If you choose to substitute a yarn that will be held single, you will likely not need quite as much yarn. This design is worked at a looser gauge, which works with high alpaca or mohair content because these fibers bloom significantly and create a solid fabric. If using an alternate fiber, you will need a heavier weight yarn in order to achieve gauge without a loose fabric.
