You know the men you see in old 50’s movies - smoking their pipes, sitting by the fire, and talking about politics? Wearing their long bed jackets and silky ascots? This is my feminine version of the classic ascot. It’s perfectly bright and spring-like, yet keeps your neck toasty while the air’s still a wee bit chilly. It was inspired by a visit to my local yarn shop and the new Noro Silk Garden Lite yarn piled up in a heap at the door. It said “buy me”. So, I did.

The good news about this ascot is that it only takes one skein of Noro Silk Garden Lite, and it’s a quick knit. It’s a simple lace pattern, “point of the wave”, bordered with a garter stitch.
