Switch to larger needle after last rib round

This hat is knit in-the-round using a soft worsted weight yarn. It is an easy pattern and a great stash buster. Approximately 60 grams of yarn needed.

The hat will fit a child ages 1 to 3 depending on their head size. Since the lace pattern is based on 7 stitches, it is easy to modify the pattern for a larger hat to fit an adult or a smaller one to fit an infant.

The suggested yarns are labeled as worsted yarn. However, the Red Heart Soft Yarn comes up on Ravelry as an aran weight yarn. As a result the blue hat is slightly bigger, but hardly noticeable.

If you do use a heavier weight yarn, you may want to go up needle sizes and reduce the number of stitches in the pattern by 7. As always, do a swatch to determine the best size needle for your project.

Enjoy!!
