These boot toppers knit up in a flash with your favorite color of sport weight yarn. They’re great for a last minute gift idea or to accessorize with any pair of calf high boots. They can be knit longer to wear as leg warmers or arm warmers (don’t forget to measure yourself though!).

Sizes available should fit young girls up to grown up girls. I would knit the first size to fit my slender six year old daughter, and can wear the fourth size myself.

The length can be altered by adding or subtracting rows of ribbing, or lace repeats. It’s up to you.

Gauge as written is for the unstretched lace pattern. One lace repeat (7 stitches by 4 rows) measures just over an inch wide and half an inch high.

One skein of Madelinetosh Tosh Sport will make two sets of boot toppers for the first 3 sizes as written in the pattern (with 8 total repeats of the lace chart), but one skein will easily make one pair with plenty of yarn left to make longer toppers/warmers in the other two sizes.
