PLEASE NOTE: line 3 of step 2 of directions for fringe it should read: 3 sc in back loop of each of next 12 chs. The 3 was left out and I have not been able to figure out how to edit it.

Just in time for Halloween. This spiderweb stitch pattern is super easy, especially when you use the charts. It is worked lengthwise so you only have six rows to follow the pattern. There are written directions for the entire scarf including the corkscrew fringe and pattern charts for the body of the scarf an the edging. I have made this up without the fringe in Paton’s Lace and it really looked like a spider web but in this Ella Rae Lace Merino you can really see the spider in the design. I used dark purple, but this yarn comes in a hand dyed black as well. Any lace weight or fingering yarn should work for this pattern and if you adjust hooks this pattern would work for heavier yarn as well, the scarf would just be a little wider and longer.
